FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My typical rate for pet sitting is $60-70 for an over night visit for homes that may have just a couple dogs/ cats or other small animals and may have a transportation fee based on your location. For clients with larger animals or numerous pets my rates are a little higher based on what all you would need done. If you need someone to just come and check on your animals and feed, water, walk and spend just part of the day I normally charge $25-40 depending on location. For dog walking I charge between $20-30 visit based on how long of a walk you would like your dog to have. Please ask about my new client specials to see what is available at your time of booking.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will typically go out and meet my customers and their pets and discuss everything they would like done. They are then able to show me anything special they would like done with their pets as well as anything they may want done around the home while I am there such as watering plants, gathering mail, taking out trash etc. I like to take the time to get to know my new customers prior to them leaving.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school to become a certified vet assistant. Upon completion of my classes and training, I worked for 2 wonderful, and highly reputable vet clinics. I have now been doing pet sitting and dog walking etc. for over 4 years. I have also owned numerous pets of my own over the years including large and small animals.
