Called John out to assess a a brand new garage door that wasn’t opening. No charge for an evaluation which was nice. He stated the Genie brand was terrible and I needed a full motor replacement for $900 with Liftmaster. I thought that was weird given it’s a brand new motor…anyway I called another technician and he said the motor just needed to be reset. It took him all of 2 minutes to complete the reset, and he said whatever you do don’t change the current motor as it’s one of the best out there. Glad I didn’t go the expensive route for nothing. Lesson is always get a second opinion 💯
