FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is unique. Size, detail and time required to create a mural or faux finish will determine pricing. I have a comprehensive contract for each customer that clearly lists exactly what will be done, the theme/design chosen, the time frame involved, materials needed and the costs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, I have a conversation with my new client, either in person or by phone. In that conversation, I'll ask the client about what she/he envisions. We'll discuss themes for a mural, or design and color ideas for a faux finish. Once the client has chosen to have me work on their project, I'll draw up a comprehensive contract that will list all of the details involved; the theme/design chosen, the time frame involved, materials needed and costs. So that we're always on the same page, I'll provide a preliminary painting for a mural or a sample board for a faux finish to be signed off on. Once the begin date is set, my new client is my only client from start until completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've formally trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts as a fine arts painter. My extensive education has given me the skills and techniques to paint as whimsically or as realistically as my clients desire. To stay up to date in the industry, I'm in constant communication with art stores and paint stores about new products that produce the best results (i.e. color brilliancy, life expectancy, etc.)
