Introduction: Canine Companion has organically expanded via word of mouth. My clients tell their friends, hairdressers, co-workers, neighbors and relatives how their pets LOVE their time with the Canine Companion crew. My staff and I spend quality time with each and every animal. Clients rest assured that their pets' needs, however special, are always met. They feel confident their pets get the same love they would give them. The pictures and notes sent keep owners connected, but a wagging tail and a smiling face tell the story!

really can't say enough about linda and all of the staff at canine companions. provided temporary boarding for my sister's 2 senior pit mixes when she died suddenly. for 9 months they were housed and fed and walked and taken for vet visits and even nursed while seriously ill. and all of this was done with warmth, love and understanding. she sent pictures and made time for constant visits that were actually tear filled therapy sessions. my sister's dogs eventually came home to live forever with my husband and me. without time to grieve and prepare, knowing they were safe and loved, we could not have reached the point where we are now: a loving family of four; all seniors(lol) and all mad ly in love. a million thanks, a million dollars wouldn't be enough. there is/are none better than linda and her girls/women. call them. try them. my word you won't be sorry....robin and gene albertelli+ruby and lincoln

We found Canine Companion after we got a new puppy. We knew we couldnt leave him alone all day with our work schedules. We started with daily visits in part to break up the day, give a puppy feeding and provide a potty break. We loved getting the photos and text updates. They also provided us with referrals for trainers, places to buy supplies, and tons of puppy and training tips. Over the last few months weve used many of their other services; socialization walks, daycare, pet sitting, and we look forward to the pack hikes as soon as the weather cools off some. We now use them for visits during the day and daycare a couple days a week for the extra socialization and stimulation so hes not alone all day. He always comes home happy and tired. Linda, who run the business, is very responsible. Weve left Oliver in her care several times. Each time we received daily updates via text/email with the photos. One time, when we were out of the country, Oliver was sick. Linda couldnt reach us and checked with our vet to make sure all was ok. Oliver loves Linda, her team, and the care the give him. Overall, Canine Companion is wonderful and we were lucky to find Linda.

Linda and her staff are amazing! My dog, Mozart, has such a good time with them and I know he's always safe. He has lots of fun playing with all of the other dogs. Linda takes amazing pictures to prove it. When I'm out of town, she regularly sends me pictures of my dog having a blast. She's also particularly good with bully breeds (my dog is an American Staffordshire, which falls under the Pit Bull category) and makes sure all the dogs are getting along. Additionally, she did a great job with her backyard for the dogs to play in. She has astroturf, so it stays clean and less likely for dogs to experience allergies or insect bites. Canine Companion also offers group hikes, which, when my schedule changes, I will probably be taking advantage of. I'm very thankful that I learned about Linda right when I rescued Mozart. She's a lifesaver!

Canine Companion is absolutely the only place I will board my two pit mixes. I trust Canine Companion 100% to care for my kids. My boy is very sensitive and will go on hunger strike when his routine is upset so I was sure I would never be able to leave him anywhere. But at Canine Companion he is in a loving, home-like environment (no concrete and metal kennels!) and he eats! My girl is somewhat dog-reactive so I worry about her being around strange dogs but at Canine Companion she is given her own space with her brother and lots of exercise and play-time without the stress of unnecessary interaction with other dogs. In fact, Linda has even helped her make a few doggy friends and she now goes on group hikes! I am so grateful for Canine Companion--without them I'd be a wreck every time I had to leave my dogs!

I love canine companion, they are so amazing with my dog! They priority is safety and that makes me feel so much better, given my dog is dog selective! I would highly recommend them for all of your dog care needs, as they go above and beyond! They always watch him when we go away, and I always come home to a happy and tired dog!

We have several services including dog walks, pet sitting, pack hikes, and holiday and birthday celebrations!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After speaking over the phone and setting up a good time to meet, myself and a team member will come meet you and your pets for a free consultation. We make sure your pets are fully accommodated and typically start right away.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Originally from Maryland, I left the corporate world to focus on my passion for working with animals. I've taken care of animals my entire life and began fostering dogs for several local rescues in 2008. I started Canine Companion LA in 2011 and it has since grown organically via word of mouth. My team members and I absolutely love what we do here and love providing our services to our happy clients and their pets!
