I originally wanted to have a face to face Spanish instructor but because I live in a small town I couldn’t find one locally so I just took a chance with this app! I contacted everyone I could find and they all either seemed ridiculously expensive, (frankly) boring, or awkward.
WHEN I FIRST SPOKE WITH JOHN I JUST KNEW! I’ve been taking classes with John for about a month now and I am so pleased with my decision! I read the other great reviews and I totally agree! He makes Spanish easier to comprehend and practical! Our sessions are fun, he’s always prepared to teach me something new, and he makes it really comfortable to speak even the hardest Spanish.
My goal is to become fluent and after one month I am conversational! yes, I have learned some Spanish in school years ago but this is sooo much better than that! He teaches the things that schools don’t teach and he makes each session worth your time! Stop scrolling! And reach out 😊 you’ve found your instructor!

John makes you feel very comfortable from the start of your very first lesson! Includes relevant exercises and handouts in the form of pdf’s via email. Intuitively tailors your individual needs to meet your goals. Working with John is like talking to a friend whom you’ve know for years! He makes learning Spanish fun. The lessons are specifically tailored to my level of Spanish knowledge and our virtual class time includes a variety of topics for learning. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Language classes should be affordable because they require several sessions to learn the many tips and tools needed to learn a language properly. My pricing is very affordable and the teaching quality is top-notch. My lessons are a real value for the money. You may choose to enjoy the convenience of taking classes online and over the phone for just $30 per hour, with occasional special discounts, or I also offer one-on-one 'In-Person' classes starting at $40 per hour in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. Each location is always quoted separately depending on the distance and the time required to drive to your location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically invite all new students to take advantage of a free introductory assessment phone call to discuss their needs and goals prior to starting a regular teaching session. It is helpful to me to tailor-make the proper learning program for each student. The phone call takes about 10 - 15 minutes, and it reassures the student that he or she is in good hands.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive training in Linguistics, which means that I have experience in understanding the differences and histories of many languages and cultures. My mother was born in France, so I have been speaking French all of my life. My father was born in Mexico, so I have been speaking Spanish all of my life as well. However, I have studied both French and Spanish extensively at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, when I lived in Mexico City, as well as various French schools in Paris and here in the United States. I have also lived in Japan while attending several well-known language schools in Tokyo, Kanazawa, and Fukuoka. (Japanese Learning Certificates are available upon request).
