Introduction: Hello and welcome! As a professional artist that has been working in the field for nearly a decade, I am passionate about precision, color theory, and the proper achievement of a visual goal. My style ranges from realism to abstraction with specialization in portraiture and foliage, as well as an emphasis on graphic forms. Further my tool set for murals ranges from traditional paintbrush to modern spray paint techniques. I consider murals to be collaborative in nature and I would be happy to assist you in bringing a vision or a feeling to life—either commercially or for a residential project at your home. I have worked on very large scale outdoor public murals, as well as indoor private home renovations where I have worked closely with designers and architects to bring a vision to fruition! Communication, punctuality, and tidiness are very high priorities for me. As such, I look forward to bringing a professional attitude, skill set, and positive tone to your project.

Brittney is a joy to work with and is extremely talented. We hired her to do several paintings for our offices and loved them so much! We will continue to work with her as our offices grow. She is quick to respond to any questions, very professional and made the entire process very easy for us. I’m so happy I found her through this app. ❤️

Brittney Sundquist of Frozen Feathers Fine Art Murals created the most incredibly beautiful mural for our elementary school playground wall. We held a fundraiser to raise money for a new play structure and wanted a mural in the background representing the year 2020 and what our children/students felt about confronting Covid in a digital world where they were unable to physically connect. Our students made videos commenting on the ups and downs of 2020, similar to that of a wave that goes up and crashes down. They felt they were able to continue riding the wave and conquer this global pandemic, analogous to conquering a wave, by remaining engaged socially and emotionally, even if only through screens, and sticking TOGETHER as a community. Our theme was Together We Make a Village. Brittney was able to translate the overall sentiment of our kids and the idea of togetherness into a lasting reminder - a very well planned, professionally executed, gorgeous mural. We’re so grateful to Brittney - she was kind, gracious, professional, creative and inspiring. We appreciated her diligence and structure in proposing ideas, creating mock ups and a timeline that worked around the kids’ schedules and well with our team of parents, faculty and staff. She was a major contribution to our fundraiser, resulting in a symbolic mural that we will appreciate for years to come. Thank you Brittney!

Brittney is amazing to work with! I highly recommend her if you have a unique creative idea and you want someone make it real for you. We just finished working on the project yesterday. I feel both happy and sad! I love how the mural turned out and sad that Brittney would not be coming anymore to work on the wall! I really enjoyed watching the whole process. It took us several week to be done with it. I gotta say Brittney is very patient and has great interpersonal skills ! My story is that I grew up with childhood trauma and have been struggling with depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. This summer I had mental break down and didn’t want to live anymore. Thankfully I got help in a mental hospital and I started to have a little bit of hope again. I moved in to a new place right after got back from the treatment and wanted to have my portrait on the wall that would remind me about my strength and evolution. Choosing which photo to work with was a whole separate story. It was very emotional for me and Brittney was patiently working with me helping me to express my vision so that in the end I am happy at 100%. We did some more changed even when we confirmed the idea on paper. So Brittney was very kind and flexible with me. She made it very comfortable for me to speak up about it. My daughter and our dog also loved Brittney’s warm and Lovely energy! I can’t say enough words about Brittney’s skills! She is a very talented artist! I am so glad I had a chance to work with her.

I had a vision for an at-home film studio with a rad custom mural as the center piece, and Heather truly made it come to life. Incredibly responsive, we spoke just hours after I submitted an inquiry and I had a first draft in my inbox the next day. Appreciating my feedback, Heather was very collaborative and implemented all of my thoughts and made one hell of a masterpiece. We will definitely be working together on more projects soon and I cannot recommend her enough!!! Fantastic artist, fantastic human!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Price points vary per project depending on wall size, texture, location, and design. All of these considerations are calculated into the final agreed upon price point, which includes all associated material fees as well. If you are unsure of your vision or if we need additional clarity, there will be a $200 initial fee that will cover the time that I will take in order to create a digital mockup of our conception. This fee will be deducted from the overall price once we decide to move forward with our idea. A deposit of 50% of the overall price will be required in order to hold your chosen date and to cover the initial cost of supplies. Once the job has been completed you will have 30 days from the final date of completion in order to pay the remaining 50%.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Upon our initial consultation, we will discuss your vision and the parameters of the project. If you are unsure of your design or subject matter, we will work together in order to create a clear visual direction, at which point I will provide you with a digital mockup of our idea. This mockup will be sent in a PDF format and it will be a very close representation of our vision and will depict this vision within your space. Once our layout is solidified I will provide you with a time line, a cost analysis/invoice, a contract, and we will set the dates for the project! After the deposit has been received, it may be necessary for me to view your space prior to the initial start date in order to ensure that there will not be any unforeseen complications when we begin the project. Overall, I find this process to be really exciting and fun and I will bring this energy into our interactions while we move through these logistical steps!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

For the past 7 years I have been a professional fine art painter where I have had the great opportunity to hone my skills and travel the country and world sharing my art at various events while live painting. This has allowed me to work in many different settings, with many different people, and has given me adaptability as an artist. I studied the history of art at UC Berkeley where I earned high honors in my BA. With regard to my personal passion for murals and public art, I view murals as communal projects that should work to inspire individuals while serving as teaching moments. My vision is often laced with symbolic and empowering facets that have depth beyond superficial beauty.
