What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Paralegals in California are required to do 8 hours of continuing legal education every two years. All of our paralegals meet this requirement.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always make sure that someone is accountable for your work. There are a lot of turn-key legal document preparation services online that force you to work with a web form and you never have contact with an actual person. Often times, there will be a correction or change that needs to be made on your legal documents; don't get stuck in "the system" trying to look for help, you need a real person who will be accountable for and on top of your work.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That the profession exists. Most people think that their only option is to hire an attorney at the cost of thousands of dollars. Legal Document Assistants can prepare the same exact paperwork based upon the same exact set of facts involved in your case for much less!
