Introduction: CIAO, my name is Claudio, I grew up in Napoli, Italy, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science.
I came to the US when I was 22 and I received my Teaching Credential through Cal Lutheran University, in Los Angeles, CA.
I immediately got a teaching job in a public high school, Ventura High School, where I have been teaching Italian for the past 12 years.
I also have experience in tutoring adults.
I teach Italian in a fun and interactive way. My number one goal is for my students to have fun and enjoy my class while they learn.
My lessons will reflect your needs. Usually during the first meeting, we will discuss your personal goals and I will help you and guide you in achieving these goals.
Through games, lectures, reading, grammar exercises, singing, and much more, I feel very confident that you will learn the language of "LA DOLCE VITA".

I've been wanting to learn Italian for years. In January I finally booked a family trip for April, so I felt a sense of urgency to get started! I was referred to Mr. Lonardo and immediately felt comfortable with his style of teaching. He's responsive to my needs and individualizes my lessons, it's NOT a canned program from a book/program like language teaching apps out there. I'm not fluent in the language yet, but I feel confident enough to embark on my adventure and be able to function.
I highly recommend Mr. Lonardo's Italian lessons to anyone who wants to learn from a native speaker who is highly talented and cares about his students.

Claudio is an excellent teacher. He brings the student along at a very reasonable pace. With each lesson he adds a personal touch such as an anecdote or an idiomatic phrase that adds a cultural nuance to his lessons. He made learning Italian fun!
