CIAO, my name is Claudio, I grew up in Napoli, Italy, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science.
I came to the US when I was 22 and I received my Teaching Credential through Cal Lutheran University, in Los Angeles, CA.
I immediately got a teaching job in a public high school, Ventura High School, where I have been teaching Italian for the past 12 years.
I also have experience in tutoring adults.
I teach Italian in a fun and interactive way. My number one goal is for my students to have fun and enjoy my class while they learn.
My lessons will reflect your needs. Usually during the first meeting, we will discuss your personal goals and I will help you and guide you in achieving these goals.
Through games, lectures, reading, grammar exercises, singing, and much more, I feel very confident that you will learn the language of "LA DOLCE VITA".

Prof Claudio makes learning italiano fun, exciting, and comprehensive. His classes are engaging including explanations of ways to learn the basics to establish a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding. Claudio is a fantastic Italian teacher. I’m just starting out. Italian had become the forgotten language in my family, and I wanted this generation to pick it up. I don’t speak any other languages besides what I was exposed to in school: French in kindergarten–sixth and German in high school. I remember many words from both, but I couldn’t read or pronounce new words based on that knowledge and that’s exactly what I appreciate about Claudio’s approach.
He teaches us how to pronounce vowels and letter combinations, showing that Italian is a phonetic language, so we can retain vocabulary and rules later if we choose.
I’ve always flirted with the idea of learning Italian, and with Claudio’s guidance I’m hopeful I finally will.
