I'm so glad to have met Jeff. He's punctual, polite, and very professional. Since my piano hadn't been tuned for several years, Jeff explained that he would do a solid "maintenance" tuning and work with my budget. Jeff was a pleasure to talk to during his visit -- I learned a lot about tuning basics -- and he gave me some extra time just to ensure I was satisfied with the end result.
I am trying to get back into playing piano (haven't applied myself since lessons as a kid) - and Jeff recommended a local jazz piano teacher. I'm absolutely thrilled to take the next step.
I'll also be hiring Jeff @ In TunePiano Services again for my next tune-up.

Jeff was great! Got an older piano back to wonderful playing condition. As it hadn't been tuned in a long time, he didn't push it too hard. Unstuck keys, and a wonderful sound now.
Definitely will use him for regular tuning.

Jeff is absolutely one of the most professional and courteous piano tuner/appraisers I have met. He called me the night before my appointment as a much needed courtesy. He showed up on time, was polite, even with my toddler underfoot. He tuned our piano that had not been tuned in over 10 years and made it sound wonderful. He also took the time to talk directly to my State Farm insurance agent so that my insurance appraisal (another service he offers) met the requirements of my carrier.
Most importantly, there were no hidden fees, I paid what he said it would cost when he initially made the appointment. I also found his price was very reasonable for his level of expertise and quality of his work.

I have a hourly price for 1st hour depending on location and price for additional time per quarter hour.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Family had a piano factory in Philadelphia that restored pianos and also sold pre- owned pianos they refurbished. I worked in factory and apprenticed under master technicians. Had specialized instruction with private lessons on the art of piano tuning.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I tune and repair many pianos that have not been serviced for many years and need piano to be brought up to its full potential. I offer purchase consultations to consumers who are looking to purchase a used piano at a store or private seller. I appraise many pianos for insurance purposes or a client that is selling piano on their own. I also broker pianos when a client wants me to help them sell there piano. Piano must be in excellent condition or I will not broker.
