Introduction: No one can actually say their work stands out from others we don't see every house in LA and a good decorator works with your style. Silly Question, However, with my personal style such as my office and home. I take big risks nothing bold colors unique finds nothing matches and everyone loves it, even clients homes I've done sleek and modern love it just not for them. It looks great because it's done right it could easily be hideous but there is that ahh ha moment where you find the color for a wall or a plate for hanging on the wall. As my brain is glued to the chaos this actually gives me the ability to work with any style as it almost a scaling down effect. Also as my website says you do not need to spend a fortune to live in beauty..if you have a great eye and know where to look which I do, you can create a space that looks better than ones you may be charged 20x more for. The one picture I have up is the living room in my house my website has more. The entire living room everything art on the walks came close to $1200 I am always extend an invitation to show clients my home more than half the furniture is market finds. I love what I do and I live in what I do perhaps that is what makes me unique and it surrounds my life not just decorating. I Love the creative process I love "which clients do not have to endure" waiting until the placing of a room or a chair or the height of a picture comes to me. I never charge by the hour but I am total perfectionist and I will stand there for 3 hours and that perfect place comes for the chair for me it's winning the lottery. You can't just make decorating happen you need to connect with your client you are working or them I feel a lot of designers become yes people I am a no person if I don't agree. Clients don't like to hear it but you really want that in a decorator. No but let's move on to something else you loved. I make fun easy things my clients can do for me that help me. I am here to gibe you your dream not a version on mine

I have lived in my house in Venice for over 20 years and it was time for a makeover. I thought I had somewhat good taste, but knew I needed help since I was doing the whole interior and didn't really know how to go about it. I hired Joey and she was a delight to work with. She was very gentle in steering me to what was actually good taste and coming up with a design that actually worked in my house. My house had very dark colors and oversized furniture that made it look like a cluttered dorm room. I now have a bright cheery beach house with furniture that is appropriately sized for the small rooms. And it was all done for less than half the price I thought I would end up having to pay. My house now looks like the millions bucks it is supposedly worth!!!

That each and every decorator is a person with a personality as much as you like the advice you have got to like the person go a bit with your gut. You will be spending time together you know who and what you can and can not deal with remember that.
