Introduction: With 15+ years of experience and approximately 15,000 applications read, I love helping students throughout the entire college application process. As a former admission counselor who read 50+ applications each day, I fully understand how important it is to stand out and weave your story throughout your app. I’ve worked at 6 different colleges, and have read apps for UC Berkeley, USC, and Vanderbilt. Services Offered: College List Building Application Guidance and Review Essay Brainstorming and Editing Activities Resume Assistance Major and Career Exploration Academic Advising Mock Interviews Campus Visit Planning Timeline Management and Organization Why work with me? I believe that applying to college doesn’t have to be as complicated and confusing as it may seem initially. I’m here to help you craft your application your way— whether you need help from start to finish, or are looking for some quick feedback on a couple pieces of the app. I only work with a limited number of students so I can ensure to provide the best possible service. Whether it’s helping students find colleges where they will be happy, brainstorming essay topics and refining supplements, or creating an activities resume that reflects the interests and strengths of the applicant, I truly enjoy being able to make this process smoother, easier, and even a little fun! *All meetings will be virtual or on the phone. I am based on the West Coast, but work with students and families throughout the U.S. *I can offer a discounted rate if you are solely looking for assistance with the UC application and essays.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I do a free initial consult via a virtual meeting or phone call to get a sense of where the student is at in the college process. Once I’m able to assess where help is needed, we typically get to work right away and come up with a timeline and regular check ins to ensure we stay on track.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. I’ve worked as a college admission counselor at several colleges and as a college counselor at multiple high schools, so I have experience on both sides of the desk. I am also a member of professional organizations, such as NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) and WACAC (Western Association for College Admission Counseling).

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with high school students from all grade levels. Students I’ve worked with have attended a diverse group of colleges, from UC’s and CSU’s, to Ivies like Harvard and Yale, to big publics like Michigan, University of Texas, and University of Washington, to private colleges like NYU, Boston University, Tulane, and UChicago. I’ve also worked with students who study in other countries, such as the UK.
