FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe having both high quality and trustworthy dog training should be accessible to everyone. If you are restricted on budget, please don't hesitate to shoot me a message. I'm willing to work with you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with new owners and their dogs for training involves several key steps to ensure a personalized and effective experience: Initial Consultation: We start with a comprehensive consultation to understand your dog's behavior, your goals, and any specific challenges you're facing. This can be done in person or virtually. Assessment: I conduct an assessment of your dog's current behavior, temperament, and training level. This helps in creating a customized training plan. Goal Setting: Based on the consultation and assessment, we set realistic and achievable goals for your dog's training. This includes both short-term and long-term objectives. Customized Training Plan: I develop a tailored training plan that outlines the specific techniques and exercises we'll use. This plan is designed to fit your dog's unique needs and your lifestyle. Training Sessions: We begin regular training sessions, which can be held at your home, in a public space, or at a training facility. These sessions focus on building communication, structure, and consistency. Progress Reviews: Periodically, we review your dog's progress to ensure the training is effective. Adjustments are made to the training plan as needed. Homework and Follow-up: Between sessions, I provide you with exercises and tips to reinforce the training. Follow-up support is available to address any questions or concerns. Ongoing Support: After the initial training period, I offer ongoing support and additional training as needed to help maintain and build on the progress made. This structured approach ensures that your dog receives the best possible training, leading to a harmonious and enjoyable relationship for both of you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive hands-on experience in dog training and behavior modification. I have successfully trained both of my own dogs to be fully off-leash trained. Additionally, I have worked closely with friends and family, assisting with the training of new puppies and implementing behavior modification techniques for older dogs. During a year abroad in Panama, I further honed my skills by training and walking dogs, gaining valuable experience in different environments and with diverse breeds.
