FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Here are the key points of our pricing structure: 1. Hourly rate: the standard rate is $50 per hour. The minimum charge is for 2 hours. 2. Proportional billing: we understand that each project is unique. After the second hour, time is billed proportionally in 15-minute increments. This ensures you only pay for the actual time spent on your project. 3. Transparent material costs: we do not add any markup on materials. The cost of materials is charged according to the supplier or store receipt (e.g., Home Depot), and we do not charge any additional fees for purchasing them. 4. Discounts: depending on the scope of work or long-term collaboration, we offer discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we connect with the client through the Thumbtack app and then via SMS for better communication. In the messages, the client needs to send us a description and photos of the project that needs to be completed so we can understand the scope of work and the time required for the task. If necessary, we visit the site and prepare an estimate. I also guarantee timely responses to clients' questions if they arise. Once all the details are agreed upon with the client, the time for the work is scheduled. A phone call or text message to confirm the appointment is usually sent the day before or the morning of the scheduled task. A standard 30-day warranty on the work is generally applied to all tasks and projects. After completion, the client reviews the results, and if everything is satisfactory, payment is made. We close the project and look forward to your positive review in the app.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive hands-on experience as a handyman and specialize in a wide range of tasks, including basic repairs, installations, and maintenance. My skills have been honed through completing practical projects, working with various tools, and continually improving by learning new techniques on the job.
