Along with hypnosis (depending on the client's needs) we might explore such tools as Tai Chi / Qigong, breath control, meditation, 'therapeutic art', handwriting analysis, EFT (emotional freedom technique) or dream therapy. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes my standard rate is $150 for a 50 minute session. However as a special offer to new Thumbtack clients I am offering the first session for $99, that's more than a 30% discount. This includes a free 10-15 minute phone consultation. The client also has the option of pre-purchasing session blocks (blocks of 5 and 10 sessions) at a greatly reduced rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is a 10 - 15 minute free phone conversation where I get to meet the client and find out what's going on and what they'd like to work on. During that time I will answer any preliminary questions that the client might have in regard to hypnosis; my background, the hypnotic process and pricing. Then we set up a time when we can both meet at my office.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with honors from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI), located in Tarzana, California. Established in 1968 it was the first fully accredited college of hypnotherapy in the nation. The year long training was both rigorous and comprehensive involving more than 700 hours focusing upon the hypnotic method and accessing / communicating with the subconscious mind.
