I had a traumatic experience I had been suppressing for 30 years. One day last year, all the memories I had buried for so long came rushing back. I had no idea how I was going to get through the pain. I was truly petrified at the idea of me having to finally talk about and cope with my past. I don't trust easily, so I wasn't sure who I could reach out to for help. I got the idea that perhaps there were certain memories that could be erased through hypnosis. I immediately thought of my old friend from college. I called Rian to see if that could be done. I honestly hadn't thought about Rian actually working with me, we were old friends and I don't live in California. Rian took me under his wing immediately, he wanted to help me. I knew I could trust him, so it was a no brainer.
We've been working together for almost a year. Facing and coming to terms with my past has probably been the hardest thing I've ever had to do. It has been a roller coaster ride. There have been times where I have been so frustrated with myself for not being able to let go of the pain that I've asked Rian if he wanted to continue working with me. He obviously always says yes.
Rian is very knowledgeable in his area of expertise. He is understanding and kind. However, Rian will absolutely hold you accountable if he doesn't feel you are doing all you can to improve your life. Me calling Rian last year was the best decision I could have made to start my healing process.

My sessions with Rian O’Meara proved to be extremely cathartic and transformational. Rian helped me to grasp the tools necessary in realizing how to start addressing past childhood traumas and how to step into the shoes of an empathic man, while navigating the necessary shadow work we all carry around with us in today’s society… The work continues… Rian’s work has proven invaluable to me and I look forward to continuing my sessions with him for a long time coming.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to set up a no-fee consultation to begin, either in my office or remotely. The consultation will be a time for me to tell you more about what I do, answer any of your questions, and for you to share whatever you would like to share. That way, I can get a better idea as to how to assist you and to assess if we are a good professional match. At that point, if we choose to move ahead, I will put together a plan and communicate all the particulars for your successful therapy.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you are able to meet (virtually or physically) with your professional of choice before committing to services or payments. It is important for the customer to be able to ask questions, feel comfortable and learn more about the professional before moving forward. The professional should want a better understanding of the client as well, and offer a no-fee consultation, to see if they would make a proper fit together. Do not feel pressured.
