FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I keep it simple and flexible. I’ve got my minimum rate, but if the job is bigger or takes more hours, we can always work something out - I’m happy to give a nice discount for larger projects. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no “gotcha” add-ons. Whatever we agree on is exactly what you’ll pay. I’m good with pretty much any payment method that makes your life easier - cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, PayPal… whatever works for you works for me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I check the request to make sure it’s something I can actually do well. If it is, I’ll reach out, get the details, and make sure we’re on the same page about what needs to be done, when, and where. We’ll agree on a date, time, and rough idea of how long it might take. When I show up, I just get to work - no drama, no delays. If you think of other things while I’m there, I’m happy to help with those too. If I notice something that’s not quite right, I’ll point it out and see if you want me to fix it. My goal is always to handle as much as possible in one visit so you’re not chasing down ten different people for ten little jobs. And if you like how it all turns out, we keep in touch so you’ve got a “go-to guy” for next time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don’t have a formal degree in “home repairs,” but I’ve got plenty of real, hands-on experience. I worked over a year in moving here in Los Angeles — which meant doing everything from packing and carrying furniture, pianos, and TVs, to hanging and removing artwork, mounting TVs, and handling all the little household tasks that pop up along the way. On top of that, I take care of my own home, so I’m constantly doing the same kinds of jobs - hanging pictures, fixing small issues, swapping out faucets or handles, tightening things up, replacing bulbs, that kind of stuff. I also used to work as a truck driver, which taught me a lot about problem-solving with my hands - changing tires, replacing brake pads, fixing things on the go. Bottom line: I only take on jobs I know I can do well, and if something comes up that I haven’t done before, I’ll figure it out and make sure it gets handled.
