Where do I start? Daniela is amazing! My first meeting with Daniella was over Skype on January 10th 2020 and by March 31st I was down 40 pounds with minimal exercise. How did I accomplish has? I made a commitment to give up all junk food and Daniela provided healthy yet delicious recipes and meal plans. Now I know men tend to lose weight at a faster pace than women, but if you trust in the process and don't have any cheat days I anticipate amazing results. Daniela and I would check in once a week and she would customize my weekly meals based on food that I like and ingredients that I am familiar with, but I was also open to trying new things. I have been training with Daniela in Classical Pilates for 2 years. When I started training, I could barely breathe without wheezing due to a mitral valve leak and other cardiac issues. Today, I’ve surprised my cardiologists by showing improvement in my mitral valve and the ability to overcome a challenging health situation. I’m also performing exercises I didn’t think possible. Daniela is a highly committed and nurturing trainer. She’s patient, encouraging and builds confidence. Added bonus, my body is tight and shapelier. Daniela is the best instructor I have ever had. She is very knowledgeable about the human body and the best way to use the exercise techniques to provide the best results. She is also a very nice young lady and a pleasure to work with which makes the tough workouts almost fun.Oct 30, 2016
I highly recommend Daniela's Yoga. I always look forward to my Friday morning class. Daniela's class begins with a thorough warm up that makes you ready and eager to start the core practice. Daniela's class is challenging but she makes it possible for all who attend to work every pose by demonstrating varying levels of each pose. Each class ends with a calming cool down. In addition to the asana practice Daniela includes additional aspects of Yoga including breathing techniques, meditation and many of the other areas of Yoga in each class. The only way to improve this class would be to offer more classes by Daniela throughout each week.Dec 26, 2015
Hi my name is Maureen Benoit and for the last six months I have had the great opportunity to develop a weekly yoga practice with Daniela Caesar-Roden. She is our yoga teacher at our local gym. What can I say about Daniela besides the fact that she is tiny and mighty, lots. I have practiced yoga for about 5 years now and have had some of the most gifted yoga teachers in a class and private setting. Daniela stands a notch above most. What I love about the style in which Daniela tends to her practice and students is that she is heart present with individuals in her group as well as present to the collective nature of us all combined. In as much that she tends to the collective impact we have to each other in our small group she also brings in the universal component as to why we even practice yoga at all. In addition to demonstrating precision with her craft she is so creative with her style of teaching that there is a flair of anticipation from her students as to what will she surprise us with this week. Often times she incorporates positions that are very different and unique to our practices and still at our appropriate level. Daniela loves her job and cares about her students and it is evident each week with the preparation that is demonstrated with her weekly group practice. In addition to being careful that her students have proper alignment and safely engage in their practice Daniele encourages her students to set their personal intentions and practice with their hearts. She incorporates those beautiful traits we sometimes call virtues: kindness, compassion and service. The first time Daniela placed her small and gentle hands on me during shavasana I was so moved with the enormous sense that for that moment I was being cared for. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?During our first session together I will do a great deal of observation. I will begin by going over your medical history so that I am well informed on where your at. I will also ask you to discuss your goals for training. I will guide you through a number of simple movements and exercises, in pilates what we call "fundamentals." I will use this as an opportunity to observe how connected you are to your body, how injury or alignment issues are affecting your movement, and assess your starting point. I will then design a comprehensive plan for training that will address your needs and goals as well as challenge you. Our training will include sessions together, but also homework you will do on your own to help you progress in your training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a comprehensive (450 hour) pilates training certification through peak pilates. I have my B.S in Kinesiology with a focus is Dance Pedagogy. I am a 200 hour RYT through the Yoga Alliance. I have an additional 200 hours of CEC training through the Yoga Alliance. They include Dynamic Vinyasa Teacher Training with Jennifer Prugh and the Joy of Yoga and Power Yoga Teacher Training Extensions through CorePower Yoga. I have a year of service and leadership training and experience with Americorps through City Year Boston. I am certified in Zumba and Zumbatomic, First Aid, AED, and CPR. I have my Mat Pilates Certification through Equinox. I am also a registered CYT through Stretch.Play.Yoga.
