About
I am so excited to bring the amazing power of Tai Chi / Qigong to my clients. I have been practicing Tai Chi for over 18 years and have a R.A.M.A., instructor certification.
Regarded as a cultural treasure in China, Tai Chi brings hundreds of years of wisdom, beauty and health to supercharge us in our busy, modern world. One of the greatest joys of teaching Tai Chi is having my students realize that this ancient system is a living, breathing force with the ability to transform lives, bringing us more confidence, stability and inner well-being.
Outside my private practice I have been teaching Tai Chi / Qigong at "The Camden Center", a dual diagnostic facility in Los Angeles for over 4 years. It has been my privilege to see individuals wrestling with severe emotional and psychological pain successfully using Tai Chi as a wonderful tool to help reduce anxiety, stress and mental confusion.

Since I started incorporating TaiChi Alive in my life I feel more balanced and at peace. I am more connected and in tune. I also have had more energy by following this practice of meditation. The instruction was easy to learn and follow, excellent for all levels.

I have been working with Skee for about 6 months now and can’t say enough about my amazing experience with him. We start up with a light warm up, then do some movements that help to gather and circulate Chi, do a standing meditation and end with learning the TaiChi movements- it took me about 3 weeks to learn all 24. From this work, I now have improved mental focus, and more physical balance, strength and flexibility. The practice has done wonders for my overall fitness and wellbeing. Skee is a patient and very professional and skilled instructor.

I've known and trained in Martial Arts with Skee Goedhart for a few years now. I've experienced his TaiChi practice new times and it is both relaxing and invigorating. He really knows his material and guides you along patiently as you learn the moves and breathing techniques. He is both knowledgeable and very personable. I highly recommend training with him and looking forward to more sessions!

It was really amazing working with Skee. He is very kind and patient and makes the class a lot of fun. I was a little apprehensive at first as I had never done anything like TaiChi before but Skee really helped me relax and enjoy myself. I found the Qigong exercises especially helpful and I use them whenever I feel anxious or need to ground myself. Would definitely recommend!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My private one-on-one lessons start at $90 for a one hour session
I also offer two-on-one for $45 / person, three-on-one for $35 / person, and four or more for $25 / person. I also offer a reduced monthly rate for one-on-one clients who want to meet on a weekly basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually have an initial phone consultation to find out specifically what the client wants to work on. Then we determine where the client would like to meet for practice; at my house, their house or at a local park. Then we set up a date and time and take it from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As stated before, I have been practicing Tai Chi / Qigong for more than 19 years, but I've also been a martial artist for the past 18 years. I began my training in Tang Soo Do (Korean 'hard-style' Karate) under G.M. Ho Sik Pak in Los Angeles where I earned a black belt. I then began training under G.M. David Reed and earned a third degree black belt and 'kyosa' instructor certification. I presently practice and teach at G.M. Reed's studio in Reseda, CA. Besides Tang Soo Do I have studied Wing Chung, Jeet Kun Do and Wei Kun Do.
