Introduction
Tile Roof Solar Experts- The number one question customers forget to ask solar installers is: How will you attached the solar panels to my roof? - Preventing roof leaks is our number one concern. On tile roofs we remove all the existing tile in the area where the solar panels will be located and install new 30# felt waterproofing paper. Then we reassemble the roof adding solar roof attachments, two metal flashings per roof attachment, and re-install all the tile. Ask other companies how they install. Likely the only remove one tile per roof attachment and depend on caulking for waterproofing. Caulking won't last 25 years and will result in a leaky roof.
