What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process for booking us begins with a Contract so all expectations are clear and my customer can feel secure.
I stay in touch with my customers over the phone and through email throughout the entire planning process. When I play for wedding ceremonies, I meet with the bride in groom in advance, either in person or over the phone to play music samples for them, help them make their music selections, and gather ceremony details so that our performance will go as smoothly as possible.
A week before the wedding ceremony, I confirm the ceremony derails with the officiant, bride, and wedding planner.
On the day of, we arrive early to ensure time to set up. We play 30 minutes of prelude music to set the mood for the guests and then we play after the wedding ceremony and the guests are exiting the site.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a college degree in the flute and have taken over 20 years of private flute lessons from excellent flute teachers, including Mark Thomas, the founder of the National Flute Association.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began by working for other musicians and training for the wedding business under them.
