Introduction

Hi, For maximum transparency I would like to state up front that I charge a $50 fee for an estimate in the Denver and surrounding areas. This covers fuel, time, and design for the estimate. This cost is deducted from the project total if you decide to move forward. That being said…….. My name is Robin. I am owner/operator of Genteman Design and Remodel. I have been in business for myself since July 2018. I specialize in custom furniture and cabinet builds including live edge. If you want a clean cut and trustworthy individual that will treat your home like his own. I'm the handyman you've been looking for. Please be aware that custom work is not cheap. It’s not something that comes out of the factory hourly by a machine. It is quality work with quality materials. I just want to make sure that my customers understand that custom work cost extra. I have references that I can give out of people that I have done work for previously. I don’t want to sound rude I have just gotten quite a few shocked potential customers lately and estimates take time. Please consider this. Thank you. Robin Genteman

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally I charge by the hour. For base and door casing I charge by linear foot. If I do the entire house I offer a 10% discount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I would like to meet the customer and see the project not only so that I can estimate the job but also so that the customer can get a feel for me. I feel that the customer needs to feel comfortable with who they let in their house and the best way to do that is to meet face to face.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have about 6+ years of experience with interior construction and began to learn basics before I was able to drive.
