I've been performing covers and original Acoustic songs for over 40 years now. I have been encouraged to go for it full time, but it's a hobby that brings me and my listeners great musical pleasure. That's enough for me.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My rates are very reasonable so please don't assume I won't do your event because it's a little different or think I'm too expensive. Adding a musician for your guests at a party, surprise birthday or company event is a real nice touch. Or add a pre-event cocktail time! I am happy for new connections.

Want a specific song with relevance? Ask me if I know it and if I don't I'll learn it for your event.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I have played at corporate sales events where you would think music is not expected or accepted, but it adds a nice nuance as long as it is not too long or take away from the real focus of the event. I once played at the 80th surprise birthday party of a friends father and when I found out the guy loved Sinatra's hit "When I was 17", I learned it and made the old guy cry with joy to do it with his family and friends gathered around him.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Rates, availability, flexibility and experience. Also if I have a sound system I can bring to their event or if they need to provide one. My experience and flexibility make all the difference.
