Introduction: I put a great deal of thought into every aspect of my teaching method. I not only carefully consider what I teach and the order of the concepts taught, but also the variety of ways in which I teach each particular concept in order to best suit each student. Choice of words, tone, and flow of the lesson all contribute to a student's success and level of joy - I am always considering the greater implications of how I am teaching and what my students are learning, including how it affects their lives outside of music and for years to come! The best thing in addition to seeing progress from week to week, is witnessing that first moment when a student plays musically in a way that shows their personality - without any prompting from me - that's when I know our work is paying off!
