- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charged my labor based on how long I think the job will take, and that won’t change unless I need to address unrelated issues. My customers will be kept informed about any thing unexpected that arises, so they can make the final call on how to incorporate it into their vision.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I would discuss the project with the customer to see their vision. Then I’ll walk the customer through different options to get the results they want. I’ll take some time to put together a quote consisting of both my labor cost, and a material estimate.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing this work with my father. He is very customer oriented and gets all his work through referrals. I hope to build a small business in the image of his company, and serve home owners in the beautiful high rocky area.
