My son Shane wanted to take heavy metal guitar lessons, and my friend recommended Mike. I never wanted to pressure Shane to stay with lessons, but I didn't need to; not only did he learn songs from the rock bands he loved, but he ended up falling in love with jazz. Mike was always so friendly and knowledgeable, and it was nice to hear Shane playing heavy metal one day and jazz the next. Michelle B.
Is always a joy to listen to. He plays rock'n roll music with heart and soul. His guitar licks are amazing. Go see him and his band as you can!
I took lessons with Serena as a beginner in her group lessons through the City of Aurora and as a private student after that. I primarily studied jazz, but also checked out other styles. Serena helped me prepare for my college auditions, along with working in playing situations I was currently in, such as rock bands and pit orchestras. Her focus on sight reading has gotten me more work that I can recall, and the diversity of the material learned (especially classical guitar) gave me a great foundation to start from when studying guitar in college. Serena is nurturing to the beginning student, guiding to the intermediate guitarist, and maintains high expectations for the advanced student. Through hearing her other students at studio recitals, I can tell that she gives all students the same attention, regardless of their interests, age, or skill level. I am very thankful for the time I spent learning from Serena, and highly recommend her to anyone interested in developing on guitar.
I hired Pete and the band Thunder & Rain for a work holiday party. The group was perfect for what we were looking for! The music was great and had a ton of variety. Pete handled the legal and risk requirements quickly. Thunder & Rain will most definitely be on my list of preferred bands!
We can't say enough about Steve and the band! Our wedding was perfect thanks so much to Steve and his attention to all of the details. He took care of all of the special touches from the ceremony to the reception. Steve came out early to our site to review all of the set up and help us plan. His eye for detail is next to none! He took extra time to research and find our special music selections which were quite obscure. Then he even set up and played acoustically for our guests prior to the ceremony - a huge hit with everyone! Then came the reception - it only got better! Steve knows how to read the crowd, they played a mix of everything and kept the dance floor full all night. The music was played at the perfect volume, you could still have conversations but could hear them. Perfect! He even MC'd for our event for the toasts and all the traditional pieces of the reception - way above and beyond what we ever expected. Even stuck around longer to play some of the favorites just to satisfy some of the requests. We would be happy to speak with anyone if you want to know more! If you don't know Steve - you should get to know him. Not only did we find a great band, but a great guy and a new friend for life! Thanks again Steve to you and the band! It was the Best Day Ever for us! Alan and Jackie
John played guitar and was the lead singer in my band for several years until his job forced him to move to another city. John is positively the most talented musician I've ever played with in my fifty years of playing music. In addition to being an outstanding singer and musician, he is one of the nicest people I've ever known. Just knowing John has inspired me to a better musician and a better person.
Scott and his group were the best band I've ever hired. They arrived early, provided their own sound, dressed professionally, and kept my party guests dancing all night. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.
Awesome jazz band and extremely professional. Will definitely highly recommend this company!
I would most definitely recommend Sydney's piano lessons! She is a very helpful and patient teacher; not to mention, she is also a very skilled musician. Her piano lessons have set a great foundation for me in music. The knowledge that I have from her lessons helps me to play with other musicians and to play in my school marching band. I have learned much about music theory from Sydney as well as a love for playing piano. If Sydney hadn't moved away, I would still love to have her as my piano teacher today.
Kevin has a very broad depth of knowledge in many genres of music. His high level of expertise leads to a highly specialized lesson structure. Mr. Keith's prior music experiences in vocal, wind band, orchestral and piano/organ performance have left him with a breadth of specialized skills that he passes along to those whom he teaches. I wholeheartedly recommend Kevin Keith!
Brett Funk is a fantastic guitar instructor. I was with Brett for 5 years before we moved and he had me playing songs within the first 2 or 3 lessons, and I continued to progress rapidly the entire time I was with him. Brett also instructed my daughter who was about 10 when she started with him, and within 2 years she was in a band that was featured at the County Fair. BFGS is absolutely the first and last place you should look if you want to be awesome at guitar.
All night long during my wedding reception, the praise was relentless: "Where the hell did you find this band? They are incredible!" The Funky-Bots absolutely slay! I'm a musician myself, so it was really important to me to find a band that was tight and fun and played music with a real groove that will make people dance at my wedding. I sampled dozens of bands and got tons of quotes, but the clip Stephen sent me of his bandmates playing stuck out immediately. This isn't some corny neighborhood bar band with a rigid list of songs to choose from. The Bots are impeccably trained professionals, and everyone at my wedding could sense they were different. From the first meeting with Stephen, I felt at ease with his professionalism and confidence. He and his band never balked at a request, and were willing to try out anything, and everything they tried succeeded. Paige, the singer, has unbelievable poise and soul in her voice; she is a rare talent that you aren't going to find in most wedding bands. I could tell the band spent a lot of time practicing our songs, and they had fun with the arrangements. That energy and looseness carried over to the crowd; people can sense when the band is having fun, and it just makes the whole show exponentially better. The Bots came on time, were prompt with setup and flexible with the schedule, and were all around kind and gracious people. My only regret is that they couldn't play longer. I will recommend them to everyone I know till the day I kick the bucket. Thanks so much, y'all!!!
Dixie Leadfoot was the perfect band for our Fall Festival event!!! They played a lot of old Rockabilly favorites, and were engaging with the crowd. We would definitely hire them again!!!
This Band is amazing. They are professional and know how to get people dancing.

Mature, professional, experienced, seasoned. Mobile live musicians and DJ's are largely a fly-by-night bunch. I have been doing this at a serious top-shelf level for over 15 years, and I take every event as seriously as though it were my own. Music and entertainment are one of the most important aspects of your function and the quality will reflect on you for years to come; don't cut corners with a budget-priced newbie.
