Scott was amazing, and I can not recommend him enough. My floors look incredible. He knew exactly what to do at every stage of the process and communicated updates to me regularly. He is trustworthy and cares deeply about the quality of his work. I am so happy with the results, and I would absolutely hire him again for any other floor projects.

Got Wood did a really good job putting hardwood on my stairs. Took a little longer than expected but the outcome was worth it!

Scott responded quickly to give us an estimate and once we accepted he was upfront with us that he was finishing another project first. Once he started our project he worked diligently and consistently until the project was completed. We felt very comfortable asking him any questions we had and he responded quickly with professionalism and his immense flooring knowledge. Scott does excellent work, is very professional, knowledgeable and provided us all the information we needed about maintaining the quality and care of the floor. He is above 5 star in our books and we will definitely call him again when we need additional projects and will gladly recommend to others.

Scott does amazing work at an affordable price. I'm going to hire him back for some other projects. My neighbors hired him too after seeing my first floor done in engineered hand scraped eucalyptus..

Do NOT hire Scott. He is a criminal and will take your money, and leave you with THOUSANDS of dollars of repairs to clean up his mistakes. We hired him when our original contractor was injured and we needed to quickly complete the installation of vinyl hardwood throughout our condo. Scott seemed credible, and his reviews were good, he was even friendly and seemed to help us pick out the right materials. The problems started when he showed up to start the project. He told us he needed 30% of our agreed upon project cost as a 'deposit', emphasizing that he's been 'screwed over too many times'. We wrote a check and paid him, thinking it sounded fair. After he had removed our carpet, he told us we needed to level our floor and charged us $1600 for 100 sqft, using concrete leveler (costs $35/bag, and he severely overcharged us). He told us we had to pay him immediately in full, and we felt like we had no choice because we needed the job to be finished, so we paid him. After he poured the self-leveler, he created a huge mound in the middle of the floor (about 1 inch above the rest of the floor) and he chose to install the planks over it instead of completing the leveling by grinding it down and fixing it. I had pointed out the raised mound after it was poured, and he answered in a way that left me assuming he would fix it and wouldn’t install planks on uneven ground. NEVER ASSUME We made the mistake of leaving town, trusting him to finish the project well, so we were surprised to see that he had not fixed the mound and installed planks over the raised section. He had stopped early, leaving 75% of our condo without flooring and covered in dust, saying that the planks were ‘damaged’ and he wouldn’t come back until new planks were delivered. We told him about the raised area, and he immediately got angry stating that “that ridge has been there ever since the condo was built” continually gaslighting us and telling us his “30 years of experience” means he knows our floors better than we do. (There definitely was no ridge before he poured self-leveler.) After finally getting him to come to the apartment to check out the area, my husband suggested that if he pulled up the flooring he laid down and the mound wasn’t his fault, we’d be happy to pay him to fix it and complete the project. He immediately got angry, stormed out of our condo and said “find someone else!” He then began to threaten us with filing a mechanical lien if we didn’t pay him the remaining amount of our initial agreed upon project cost for fully completing the project, which was originally $1,500. NOTE: We had already paid him a $450 ‘deposit’, $1,600 for a botched leveling job, and EVERYTHING will have to be completely torn up and redone, so technically 0% of our condo flooring was completed. We paid him a total of $2,050 to not only leave us WITHOUT FLOORING, he ruined our floor and it will cost us around $3,000 to have it fixed and flooring completed. AND he has been threatening to take legal action against us as meaningless scare tactics. DO NOT HIRE SCOTT.

GOT WOOD's reply
That's not even close to what happened on this job 1st I went out of my way and helped them get the flooring which was damaged seeing how it was damaged I stopped 3/4 of the way through the install And called them to see what they wanted to do They wanted me to stop and for me to get ahold of home depot To see about getting the flooring Replaced Which I did When I tore up the job I pointed out that their floor was not level enough for the install that it needed self leveler Their concerns were their budget So I poured the minimum So the floor would not fail and I could guarantee it They came home said it looked good so the next day Iproceeded to install the flooring I got 3/4 of the way through and noticed the last 4 boxs of flooring was damaged That's when I called them and they had me stop Home depot ordered them new flooring And when it came in we set up a time for me to come finish and they pointed out a high spot in the flooring that had been there since I bought the condo I pointed this out to his wife the day I did the self leveling She was concerned about her budget I told her I would keep the self leveler to a minimum just enough for the floor not to fail and so I can guarantee the install she was fine with that but when I went back they wanted me to pull up the floor so they could see the high spot which they seen for 2 days before it was covered with new flooring and also that already pointed out to her days before! and they now wanted that spot ground down I told them that's fine but there would be an extra charge for disassembling the floor and for grinding they didn't feel that they should have to pay this something that could of been taken care of before the floor installation Im im the process of bringing them to court for refusing to pay for the work that was completed LOOK AT MY OTHER REVIEWS NONE OF THEM ARE LIKE THIS THIS WAS A BAD CUSTOMER THAT COULDN'T MAKE UP HER MIND AND WANTED SOMETHING FOR NOTHING I have no problem finishing the work for them but not for free
