FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please note that the base service charge is for a standard tuning. Pricing for other services, such as pitch correction, sticky keys, string repair, hammer repair, cleaning, voicing, regulation, etc. will be discussed at the initial tuning appointment. This pricing will be discussed before extra services will be completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most initial appointments are for a tuning (and likely pitch correction). During that tuning, Holly gets to know the piano, and does a base evaluation. Afterwards, Holly will discuss other things that she may recommend to address at future appointments, as well as discuss a schedule for regular maintenance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Holly studied Piano Technology, and Advanced Piano Technology at North Bennet Street School. She spent a summer as an Apprentice Technician at Aspen Music Festival and School, and one year as a piano technician employed by Boston University.
