Unique Dwelling was recommended to us by a family member and we couldn't be more pleased. They were very open to the ideas we had for our addition, and took that and turned it into a beautiful design. We have a 4 year old daughter that has Cerebral Palsy, so we came with some unique needs. They did lots of research and gave us many different ideas on how our addition could make it easier to care for her. They made the whole process easier because they were also able to help us design our rooms with cabinetry and counter tops that helped get the look we wanted, plus making it very usable. John, Jamie and their whole staff were always very professional, and very personable. We also have many compliments on our addition, and that speaks volumes. Eventually we plan to remodel some of our existing house, to make it easier for our daughter to get around, and I know that we will return to Unique Dwelling for recommendations.

John and his staff is great to work with! He listens to what your ideas are and understands them. After telling him what we wanted, he built our dream home on paper right away. We really had no changes that needed to be done which ultimately saved us money! John was fast and efficient. I would highly recommend Unique Dwelling if you are looking to build a new home.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first design meeting is a flat fee of $100-$250 based on location. We charge on an hourly basis, but we provide a detailed estimated design proposal based on the particular project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically meet with the client at their current home/building or new building site. We analyze what the client would like and provide a proposal based on that information. We then proceed to draw schematics drawings, until the floor plan and elevations please the client's wishes and preferred appearance. Then we proceed to preliminary drawings for cost estimates. Once the projected cost is satisfactory, we proceed to construction documents for the building department and contractors to build off. During construction we also help with construction oversite if needed and building products if requested.
