FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My background is strong, influential and in a variety of areas. I believe I can help you with any tutoring, public speaking, mentoring and/or life coaching needs you have. Each student has a unique way of learning and I am great at tapping into that on a person-by-person basis. You are an individual and should be treated like one. I flex my educational goals for my students to fit their personality, mindset, education and ability. My education has taken me to many places and with it I can expand the education of others with ease and trust.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing self study and college study in many subjects from business to psychology, finance to veterinary medicine, creative writing to communications, etc. I have my associates degree in Business Administration from CTU. I am just one semester shy of earning my Associates in Psychology at PPCC. I’m also currently a semester shy of earning multiple bachelors level degrees. My main ones are in Business Administration (CTU), Communications (Devry), Finance and Economics (GSU) and Equine Studies (Post). I have several certificates and awards. I’ve had extensive medical and business training. I am also completing a self-paced Real Estate program at Kaplan to become a real estate agent. I’ve tutored students K-College and even adult education that is not the regular subject matters, such as helping a fireman train for his captains exam. I will learn material when needed to teach it to my students. I’ve tutored in my own company since 2007 and I did my work study at two of my colleges as a peer tutor. I shifted from Study Buddy Tutoring to E-Tutor in 2011. Both of which were my own companies. I’ve helped dozens of students improve grades, pass exams, and learn new study skills. I’ve also helped on many writing assignments. My essay writing skills are extremely high and I have published works on Kindle. I’m great at technology, science, math, history, economics, English and Literature, social sciences; any subject you name I can do. I’m here to make the learning experience fun and interactive for the student/learner. Over the years with my experience and education I’ve been able to become a mentor to many; and I’m a pillar in the community. I have also done life coaching and helped in areas of psychotherapy and peer counseling.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always helped my friends and classmates in high school. I actually ended up graduation high school a semester early because of my hard work and skipping lunches to fill my schedule. After high school I moved into an apartment with my mom and since I was still 17 at the time, I was more focused on the break between high school and college. During that second semester where my classmates were still in high school; I was on that break. That is when I started my private tutoring company “Study Buddy Tutoring.” The clients kept coming in and I would do 100% of the tutoring myself. I never hired any employees. So that is where the door opened to this type of work for me. It continued on through college; and now, beyond that.
