FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $175/hour for mediation services. This is typically split by the parties in a mediation ($87.50 per party per hour). I charge for my prep time prior to the mediation (one hour of my time to review the documents and information you provide to me before the mediation), and then for the time actually spent mediating.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will send both parties an Agreement to Mediate, which addresses how we will work together. I will also send both parties an intake sheet, so you can give me some basic information about you, your case, and what is most important to you for us to address. If the mediation is related to a divorce case, I will send you a financial questionnaire to complete prior to mediation so I can review it beforehand so our time together is most effectively used to problem-solve. I also request the parties send me prior court orders, parenting plans, and any other important documents. I conduct all mediations via Zoom. We can work together in one "room" on the Zoom call, or we can work separately with the mediator "shuttling" between both parties. How we work together is controlled by you. This is YOUR process, and I am here to help facilitate making as many agreements as we can!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a family law attorney who has been in practice since 1996. I am a trained mediator, and have been involved with hundreds of mediations during my career. I am also trained in Collaborative Law.
