Therapy and Counseling
Nicole was great! I have tried a few different methods to try and find information...Nicole immediately made me feel like I mattered and was a top priority.

Therapy and Counseling
The contact was listed as a local counselor in all I could read on the page and was asking for details about our minor child and their circumstances. After we told them about our situation they revealed they they are paid a commission for referrals that sign up for betterhelp.com, and that she wasn't actually a therapist or counselor with them :(

I love BetterHelp! I have been using the platform for 4 months. I didn't really love my first counselor, but BetterHelp makes it so easy to switch therapists, that within one day, I was matched with another who I get along with well. It would have taken so long to do this with in person counseling, I probably would have quit. I feel like I have a real connection with my counselor and we can talk from wherever I am in the world. It fits my lifestyle well.

I didn’t think I needed counseling but when my boyfriend suggested I try therapy I finally gave it a shot (after a year of putting it off). Tbh the only reason I did it was because I could find a counselor I could speak to from my house. At the time I thought if it didn’t feel right it would be easy to get out of it. I have been depressed for several years and this was my first real attempt to address it and get better. I can genuinely say if it weren’t for this app I wouldn’t have gotten help.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Counseling on BetterHelp is based on a flat membership fee that covers both the use of the platform and unlimited counseling. Your payment will be the same regardless of the number of messages and sessions you have with your counselor. This way you can communicate with your counselor as often as you like and whenever you need, and you never need to worry before getting help. While face-to-face counseling can cost $150 to $250 for a single session, the cost of counseling through BetterHelp ranges from only $40 to $70 per week for unlimited messaging with your counselor, as well as phone and video sessions. Your membership payments will be charged to a credit card or PayPal on a recurring basis. If you accomplish your goals or if you find online counseling with BetterHelp to no longer be helpful for any reason, you can simply cancel the subscription.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After you sign up, we will match you to an available counselor who fits your objectives, preferences, and the type of issues you are dealing with. Different counselors have different approaches and areas of focus, so it's important to find the right person who can achieve the best results for you. We have found that we are able to provide a successful match most of the time; however, if you start the process and you feel your counselor isn't a good fit for you, you may elect to be matched to a different counselor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Counselors on BetterHelp are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a Masters Degree or a Doctorate Degree in their field. They have been qualified and certified by their state's professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice. While their experience, expertise, and background vary, they all possess at least 3 years and 2,000 hours of hands-on experience.
