Introduction: I'm the best teacher in this area if you really want to learn to act, sing, do choreo, perform and audition, check my older reviews from Colorado. I am a working professional and having come from and studied in the Big Apple, I received the kind of training you can only get on the coast. I have a proven resume/track record. Even more important, since I am a "triple threat" as they say, I am able to teach all three disciplines with authority and confidence without having to send my students to other places to supplement what I do. On top of that, because I am able to do it all at the same time and place, my students get more bang for the buck. I am not a clock watcher and I teach until I think we're done and my students are maxed out. Last but hardly least, I am an active participant in the teaching process and do NOT sit at a piano just playing scales...I believe in the more direct approach and my coaching always addresses more than just the normal lessons you will get elsewhere. I know of no one else in this area that does what I do which is why you really do get what you pay for and more in my studio. The most gratifying thing for me is to see someone work through an issue they've been struggling with for a long time..and then there's the moment of an epiphany..."OMG...I get it now...I understand what you've been telling me all this time and now I know what you really mean...I see it... I can't wait to show you..." I live for that.

Donna has been my daughter's vocal coach for several months. We met with a few other coaches to find the best fit, but there was no competition. Everything about working with Donna is superior to anything else we saw. Donnas studio is BEAUTIFUL and I believe that my daughter takes her lessons more seriously because it feels like she is in a professional environment. We also appreciate the individual attention, the reasoning behind her instruction, the personalized song selections and schedule flexibility. We thought we were getting a vocal coach, but we are also getting performance and audition coaching at the same time. We are very happy with the progress my daughter has made in such a short time and we would recommend Donna to anyone looking to enhance their performance skills.

I started voice with Donna in October 2014. I am an adult who loves to sing and wanted to improve. I don't have a particular goal in mind. She teaches out of a dedicated room in home - its a great room, decorated to celebrate Broadway. She always starts on time and is easy to work with when I need to change my usual schedule. Donna is a great teacher, she knows her stuff and she knows how to communicate on a level I understand. I am working on control and I saw improvement from the first week with Donna. She is very positive but she doesn't allow laziness and is no idle flatterer. If you are singing well, she'll let you know and if you need correcting, she won't let it slide. She knows what I'm capable of and expects no less. Her enthusiam for music and for life is contagious. My voice lessons are the highlight of my week.

The transformation I have made while working with Donna has been absolutely incredible. I've grown as a performer, and most importantly, I've become more confident with myself. She knows her stuff and teaches accordingly to each and every student. She has always been there for me and we always have such a blast during my lessons. She's more than just a voice coach. Donna is an excellent dance instructor. We took dance lessons from her in preparation for our dance at our daughter's Wedding. We had so much fun and our dance came out great! I went in there thinking my feet couldn't be told where they had to go, and came out dancing quite nicely. I highly recommend Donna!

Donna is absolutely amazing!! She explained everything in detail before we even started. She was so patient and fun to be around it wasn't even like a dance lesson. I would recommend her to anyone I know! She's deserves more than 5 stars!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $60 per lesson for adults and $60 for kids for 30-45 minutes. I don't do discounts because I GIVE all my students packets with learning CDs, songs with and without tracks and lyrics as well. So, no one has to buy anything else when they work with me. I pay for and provide all the tools needed to succeed. All you do is pay for your lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Unlike most people, I like to sit down and get to know the person, child or adult, and what they're looking for and why they're coming to me. I think it's important to make sure I'm the right person for them as well because I'm not the usual "everything you do is great" kind of teacher and I want them to know that upfront so they can decide to stay or go. I tell the truth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a graduate of the Fame movie school in NYC, singing classical music in 8 languages, did some plays in theaters there, took lessons at the New York College of Music at 12yrs old, including working with Juilliard coaches and Carlo Menotti, and I entertained with my band in Denver for decades opening for The Drifters and The Diamonds and lots of country clubs. Broadway music is my forte to work with because it's fun and it's great for teaching all the things you need to know when you perform.
