FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My students take twice per month (unless they are preparing for an audition that is coming up quickly). I give a LOT of information, and students need time to integrate what I teach. Because I have a Doctoral Degree in Music and over 20 years of experience, I charge $60 for 60 minutes, or $35 for 30 minutes, which is very affordable when it is twice a month. My students tell me I am worth every penny and more! You may find a cheaper teacher, but you will not find one with as much depth and diversity of experience who can help you move quickly to achieving your goals!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen to the student's dreams, goals, fears - everything that contributes to what they will need me to pay attention to as their coach. I assess their singing background (if any), physical challenges (if any), kind of music they like and want to sing, and then tailor my teaching to what they need. I also demonstrate how technique is the same no matter what kind of music you love to sing!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree. I also have trained in voice at places like UCLA and in private studio in New York City. I am a graduate of David Craig's music theater performance classes in Los Angeles. I am myself a life-long performer in nightclubs, recording studios, and music theater. In addition, I love music from all over the world and in all styles, so I can relate to almost anything a student wants to sing!
