- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to speak over the phone to hear your goals or reason for starting to train. From there, I can help create some short and long term goals for our training together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My name is Shannon Eberly. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Boxing Instructor at Church Street Boxing Gym, Coach at Orange Theory Fitness, and Class Instructor at Manhattan Plaza Health Club teaching TRX, Aerobics, Boot Camp, Boxing and HIIT classes. I have been a class instructor and personal trainer at Church Street Boxing Gym since 2016. My classes include a variety of boxing conditioning drills, bag work, pad work and sparring drills. I have learned to be creative and think outside the box when designing boxing programs for all level’s classes. In October 2017, I completed Orange Theory Fitness' training program and was hired as a Class Instructing Expert. My time at OTF has greatly expanded knowledge of interval training and group fitness as a whole. Lastly, teaching a variety of classes at Manhattan Plaza Health Club has given me the opportunity to focus on specific types of training to produce challenging 45-60 minute classes for groups who's ages ranged from 20 to over 70 years old. In addition to group instruction, I have also worked with a diverse mix of individual clients. The list includes expectant mothers at various stages of pregnancy, people with serious, long-term injuries, advanced athletes, and children aged 4 to 16 years old. I have been described as patient, but tough. What I love most about fitness is that I’ll never stop learning and will always be hungry for more.
