My husband and I had known that someday we would have to have an elevator, or lift in our home. When the time came we chose Christies. Even though I knew that we really needed this, I was concerned as to how it would look. I can say in all honesty I could have never imagine it looking this good. We decided, that since we needed more work done, we would continue with them. But before we barely got started my dear husband passed away. It was more than a year later that I contacted them. I want to say here, though I decided to continue what we had started, it meant a lot to me that they, Christies, were, in essence, standing by ready to take up where we left off. But with no pressure from them, they allowed me the time I needed to decide whether to go forward or not. For that Ive been very grateful. So, in choosing to move forward, I now have a new bedroom & bath and a beautiful reading nook, a newly painted dining room and a brand new kitchen (which I just love) and the library that I have l wanted for years. The workmanship and ethics of this family run business is like breath of fresh air. I cannot recommend these people highly enough.

Thank you so much for the kind words Linda! We loved working on your home and seeing it all come together so beautifully! With your new master suite that is ADA compliant, we are sure you will enjoy for years to come! And your kitchen is beautiful - you did well picking the colors! They blend so beautifully together and it really brightens up that space. And any book worm, such as yourself, would be thrilled with the beautiful bookcase and sitting area to read in a sunny spot. We are so happy you are happy - thank you so much for trusting us to make your home beautiful and more easily accessible!

In a world of long, missed, or even no promised lead times, we went forward with a complete kitchen remodel last year. After we interviewed several full service companies, we settled on Christie's in June 2021 due to their responsiveness, attentiveness and cost transparency. Scheduled Demo Feb, 2022 based on appliance lead times and completion April, 2022.Their design phase was onerous, encompassing many visits, measurements and open conversations of tradeoffs within our budget. Their 3D mockups were critical to convince us our long "alley" kitchen would not look like a bowling alley :-). We almost cancelled the wall removal but with compromises elsewhere, we decided to move forward. They used CoConstruct to manage entire project - I love that app. Could chose features, manage communications, execute change orders and track budget.Wall removal, complete custom cabinets, rerouting of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and of course flooring revealed some shortcuts and non-code installation from original construction (go figure :-)). Christie's team worked closely with us on options. I will say, my wife's close supervision - being on the spot when key decisions needed to be made, help a lot. Tradeoffs to reroute the HVAC and plumbing were collaboratively resolved with her. Additional beam suggested by Christies to cover HVAC turned into the main feature setting our kitchen apart.Christie's never tried to get us to "live with an issue." There was one point when the vent exhaust hole revealed a wire...shouldn't have been there but it was...Christie's pulled in the electrician and HVAC contractors to sort it out in a day... Another issue with the backsplash tiling - grout spacing too large; would have been easier to "just live with it" but the owner of Christie's ripped it all out and reworked it beautifully. Finally, biggest delay was the hardwood flooring subcontractor who misinterpreted finish (satin vs. gloss). We required entire first floor to be refinished. While we had to move out again, Christies and sub absorbed their rework costs.Sure, there were change orders, but Christie's treated our money as their money. Final spend 7% over budget (4% our requested upgrades, 3% surprises, -3% negative change orders refunded to us) and <3 weeks past original schedule. That is unheard of especially post Covid. However, what sets Christie's apart is warranty punchlist support. A couple of cabinet issues, pop up countertop malfunction and vent hood cover not ordered by appliance outlet have been tracked closely. They continue to respond immediately even after final payment. We will use them again for sure, but collaboration is key to success - whether Christie's or anyone else - you must totally partner on your vision, roll up your sleeves, scrutinize every decision and finally perform some quality control.Mike Turek and Ly ChhoLongmont, Colorado
Christie's Design Build Remodeling's reply
Mike and Ly, Wow, our whole team here at Christie’s can’t even express our gratitude enough for your kind words and to have you as a partner on your kitchen remodel. Thank you for your understanding and patience with the unforeseen circumstances that came up and for brainstorming with us on ideas of how to best address some of those issues. After a lot of planning, city regulations and thinking through ideas for the things that came up, we were finally able to complete your gorgeous kitchen! I really hope it helps avoid feeling so crammed and broken up when family comes over for large dinners, and gives you a lot more storage for the small appliances by getting rid of the wasted space in the dining room. We are always happy to cover these warranty issues and any other that come up, as it is important to us to know what is working and what is failing in all our projects. So please don’t hesitate to post any warranty items that may come up through Co-Construct, or of course, you can call anytime. We are extremely grateful for clients such as the both of you - thank you again!

Family owned business that does everything with integrity. Christie's touched every part of our house, except the kitchen. Our house was a custom build so everything about it was unusual and Christie's tackled every challenge and oddity with good ideas, transparency and collaboration with us. They built some amazing custom windows and closets for us and transformed our house into something cohesive, usable and elegant. The quality of the work was exceptional and they gave us great advice along the way. Fair and transparent billing. Even when things don't go according to plan they get it fixed and to the finish line. They did an amazing job with a complex, multi-faceted project in an odd house and they are a pleasure to have working in your home. 100% recommend!

Thank you so much for your kind words Margaret! We loved working on your "odd" house - it was so fun to see the transformation and we are so delighted that you are happy with the end result. Oh, and that front door - pictures do not do it justice. I know that was a long, drawn-out process, but in the end, it turned out so beautiful! Thank you for your patience with us!
