Introduction: I specialize in low cost, low impact repairs both inside and outside the home. Dented doors, christened countertops, fickle furniture and derelict decks might get a shrug and a tug to the landfill from the big guys-- but there may be a more sustainable and less expensive solution. I have over 12 years of experience in property repair and maintenance, seven years working as a handyman in Portland, Oregon, and five more as the proprietor of an eleven unit historic accommodation in Nelson, New Zealand. Jon was great at patching and painting several holes in our walls done by electricians running romex for new outlets. He was very responsive during scheduling and punctual for our scheduled appointments. He also did quality work patching drywall, texturing, and blending the paint so that you can't even tell where the holes were. Would definitely hire Jon again for other projects and would recommend to others!

If you are looking for the best handyman in Breck, look no further! Incredibly professional, first thing he did when he entered our unit was take off his shoes, without even being asked too. He came prepared with his own tools and mat to put down so any mess made was not left behind. I had made a hole in the wall trying to mount my speakers in our living room! Girlfriend was not happy lol. John came in and assured me that he would Patch it up and repaint like there was never a hole there, and he did! He also offered to remount my speakers, and educated me on the correct anchor to use, above and beyond service! Amazing service and friendly vibes (he lived with his family in New Zealand and ran a hotel, so cool!) 15/10 service!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For smaller jobs I can generally quote a job rate after a video consult or onsite visit. (Either is free.) For larger jobs, I can provide a time estimate and hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am happy to visit the site to meet you and see the job. If it is a job I can do I will quote a price, or an hourly rate and estimated job duration. We can agree on a schedule for the work, and a materials deposit. I may take photos of the job before I begin, and a few more when the job is done. Once the work is completed and approved by you, I will provide an invoice to be paid by cash, check, Paypal or Venmo. It's that easy... see you next time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've always been interested in "how things work" and so most of my learning has been by doing. I began part-time work as a handyman in Portland, OR in 2011. In 2019, my wife and I took over the operation of a historic motel in Nelson, NZ, where I made continual improvements and repairs.
