Introduction
I am a NASM certified personal trainer. I think fitness should be challenging but fun and light hearted. I’ve designed a program that works for complete beginners as well as more experienced movers which incorporates elements of martial arts, dance (don’t worry, I will not scream 5,6,7,8 at you and expect you to perform!), hand eye coordination, body work and breath work. Through this work my clients become more confident and highly adaptable. My approach to personal training is different. I work primarily with body weight movements and use very little weights. If your goals include improving your diet, losing weight, increasing stamina, getting stronger, faster, more agile and more connected to your body and mind then we will work great together. If you are looking to get super jacked and see a dramatic increase in your muscle mass then you’d be better suited for different personal trainer. My sessions start with breathing exercises, joint mobility, light cardio and a variety of exercises to really wake up all your muscle groups and get you ready for full bodied movement. Next we’ll put on some boxing gloves and do some pad-work together. I will be including the use of knee strikes and kicks if I feel that you are at a level to safely do so. The martial arts portion of the session is not intending to turn you into a deadly assassin but I have found that martial arts is a great way to get a good understanding of body mechanics and really get coordinated from head to toe. After the martial arts portion we will work on some hand eye coordination skills with tennis balls. This is a great way to unlock some creativity as well as get your brain in the game. Many of these skills seem difficult at first but can be achieved in only a few minutes as your brain adapts to the challenges. It can be super satisfying! Next, we will do some assisted (or unassisted if you prefer) stretching followed by some body work to relieve any excess tension in your muscles and reset your nervous system so that you can be calm and ready for whatever might be coming next in your day. To get the most out of my work, I recommend 90min sessions. This allows us to focus on stretching and bodywork for the last 15-30min, which I find to be a really beneficial way to end sessions. I look forward to working with you!

Adam has helped me improve my self-confidence with dancing. He simplified the art of performing into smaller, more manageable exercises. Adam met me where I am as a starting point and has really expanded my ideas and belief that I can dance. I’m grateful to have found a dance mentor to truly enjoy moving to music in artful ways.

We have been training with Adam for almost two months now and we love it! My husband and I were looking for some kind of mixed martial art we could do together and Adam’s training is perfect. He’s a talented coach/teacher—it feels like a curriculum and the progression through new movements feels doable and logical! He has also been great at hearing what we were hoping to accomplish with the training and progressing us towards our goals! Looking forward to many more sessions and highly recommend!

Adam has been awesome to work with. Instead of throwing me into a program he spent time creating a plan based on my goals. Having a chaotic work schedule, Adam has worked with me to adjust as needed. We have trained namely by Zoom to date and the workouts have still been amazing. Adam’s skill set covers multiple facets of training: flexibility, breathing, strength training and martial arts. The majority of our time to date has focused on strength training (I’m training for a physically demanding hunt) but I’m looking forward to the next phase which will be martial arts and self-defense.

Adam has changed my life for the better. A couple years ago I was starting to worry about my health, my fitness and really feeling my body age. I began looking for a trainer and found Adam. I did not know quite what to expect. Adam is easy going which made starting a work out routine stress free. The workouts are consistently great and very fun. I've also learned an incredible amount about boxing and Muay Thai. But training with Adam has also benefited me in other surprising ways. Adam has tailored movement, exercise and stretching to support places I needed it (i.e. my feet, legs, joints, etc.). As a result, I'm stronger, I run faster and farther, and my endurance and stamina has increased. More than anything, however, working out with Adam has made me feel better mentally and physically. I cannot overstate how my life has changed for the better working out with Adam.
