Introduction: I was raised in the South and was smacked with a wooden spoon if I didn't complete all my tasks. Kind of kidding, but really, I'm part of the OCD breed. If I'm getting paid to do something I like to do it right and be welcomed back for more opportunities. For most people a job is just a job, but for me it is my only income and survival. One who seeks work, wants work. I love seeing something sloppy turn into sparkling clean. It's satisfying for not only the client, but also makes me feel really good about what I do. Some people simply can't do the basic cleaning around their home, but I can. Helping feels good. Plus, cleaning for a living is somewhat peaceful. I can zone out while working hard and get paid at the end. It's second nature to me, maybe even safe to say it's my comfort zone.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I realized that every past job I've had always involved cleaning. Cleaning is peaceful and the right amount of busy-work. Plus, working as an individual comes with more benefits than credited. As stated earlier, I love helping people. It feels good to provide physical labor to the unable, or simply help someone who is too busy to do the tedious duties. It's easy and a mellow way to earn a living.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly get job offers for residential cleaning and move-out sweep through's.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't hire a cleaning company, as they are the same price or more. Their employees who are sent to clean your house/office/etc.only get paid ten dollars an hour...therefore, they get in and out as fast as possible knowing they are underpaid at the end of the day. Whereas, paying someone what they're worth will result in a completed high quality job. Plus the cleaning companies instruct their maids to use the same vacuum and cleaning utensils (brushes) from home to home.
