Dejan Smaic Photography

I am a professional freelance photographer based in the Grand Junction and Boulder, Colorado area. I offer sports, event, outdoor, and active lifestyle photography. I have a passion and extensive background in competitive cycling, rock and ice climbing, Nordic ski racing, and the backcountry, which keeps me involved 24-7 in these sports and outdoor venues. I started shooting film during my army and college years in the 1980s, then DSLR in the mid 2000. I shoot with a Nikon system: D200, D300, (2) D700, and D7000 with Nikon 24-70 f/2.8, Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR, Nikon 16-35 f/4, Tokina 16-28 f/2.8, Sigma 50 f/1.4, as well as several other lens systems, numerous Speedlights, pocket wizards, studio and monolighting system, etc. I also use on-camera filters, all post processing using Lightroom 5 and Adobe CS6.
