I reached out to A Line to have four accent walls painted in my home. Most of the walls turned out okay, but unfortunately, the work in my master bedroom was extremely disappointing.
I work nights, so my time is very valuable to me. The appointment to complete the upstairs bedrooms took approximately six hours, and this was after I had just worked a 12-hour shift. Before the appointment, I clearly communicated that I wanted the walls painted black and explained that I had a small container of white correction paint available if needed to sharpen or clean up the lines.
For reasons I still do not understand, the painter used very large brush strokes with the white paint around the recessed portion of my bedroom wall, leaving the area looking uneven and poorly finished. I immediately voiced my concerns and was told there had been a “miscommunication.” I was willing to accept that mistakes happen, but I made it clear that I needed the wall corrected.
I was then told I would be charged an additional $100 to fix it.
I do not understand why I should have to pay an additional fee to correct work that was not completed properly in the first place. I already paid for a professional service, and I should not now have to spend additional money and time finding another professional to repair or completely redo the recessed walls.
The entire situation has been extremely inconvenient and disappointing. Maybe my experience was a one-off, but based on the quality of the work in my master bedroom and the response I received when I asked for it to be corrected, I personally would not recommend A Line.
