- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I require most students to come at least twice a week. Lessons are 50 minutes long. I charge the same amount each month. If you are coming 2 times a week the charge is 475/mo. This is the same every month. If you are on vacation or sick you may ask if there is another time to make up your lessons. I will try to work with you but it is not promised that you can make up those hours. Ask about a discount if you want to come more than 2 times a week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You may request a free consultation with me so that we can each ask each other questions and find out what the most pressing needs are. This way you can decide if I am the right person to work with you. On your first session with me I will do a simple evaluation to make sure I know where you are starting from in reading and spelling.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Arts in Teaching, dyslexia specialist. I received this degree from the only program in the state of Colorado that is endorsed by the International Dyslexia Association. I am also a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and member of the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA). I have continued my education independently to learn from Pete Bowers and other Structured Word Inquiry (SWI) practitioners so that I have a more rounded understanding of how the English Language system works and can explain it to my students.
