Please contact me if you are serious about lessons, and **have an instrument prior to starting lessons** Piano lessons -you need to have an *acoustic piano* (preferred ), or at the very least- a full size -88 keys - *weighted touch sensitive keyboard with the pedal. Flute lessons - you need to have a flute in a good playing condition. **Please note, that I only teach classical flute (no traditional instruments such as Indian bamboo flute, ney etc.) Taking piano lessons with me, you will: ●benefit from an accelerated method based on classical traditions of famous Russian school of piano playing. ●will learn how to play with beautiful tone, correct hand position, and play in many different key signatures right away - not just in fixed 5 fingers C position. ●play music that interests you ●study classical repertoire, technique, and learn effective practice habits ●you will also learn theory, work on aural skills, and sight-reading ●as well as improvisation ●play different styles of music and a lot of duets Flute Lessons: I teach levels beginner to advanced and select curriculum around your musical goals. In your lessons you will ●work on developing beautiful tone and effortless technique ●develop good practice habits ●learn solo repertoire and play duets ●get help with band music and audition preparation. My high school students won first-chair band auditions, were accepted to Colorado All-State and Honor bands and earned college music scholarships. I am a flute and piccolo player with Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Colorado and Colorado Ballet. As a piano player, I am on demand as a collaborative pianist in the area, and hold a position as a choir accompanist.

I look forward to my lessons with Olga every week. I’m an adult beginner taking lessons with her for the last four months. She's very knowledgeable. She has a very direct teaching style that’s perfect for me. She tells me what to play and how to make it better with no messing around. She’s encouraging and friendly but doesn’t waste time. I like her selection of course materials. The pieces are interesting and fun to play. Lessons are challenging but I’m learning a lot. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher.

The instructor was quick to identify areas wherey daughter was stuck, and worked to go back to basics to build skill. My daughter felt really happy and successful in realizing she has the skills to figure out how to play.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have an initial phone call with the students /their parents, to see what their goals are for lessons, and how I can be most helpful. I set up one or two discounted trial lessons to see if we are a good fit, before students commit to a weekly lesson. I develop an individual plan based on students' musical goals.

Master's degree in both Flute and Piano performance from the Ukrainian National Academy of Music (also known as Tchaikovsky Conservatory),years of performing with professional orchestras : Former member of the National Symphony orchestra of Ukraine ( Flute and Piccolo), Current member of the Boulder Philharmonic orchestra, and Greeley Philharmonic orchestra (flute and Principal Piccolo), Substitute musician with the Opera Colorado and Colorado Ballet.
