Piano Lessons

It has been a true gift to work with Raisa Voldman these past 2 years! I have played and loved the piano for nearly my whole life. After some years of self-teaching, I was looking for someone talented to help me hone my technique, and provide fresh feedback on my playing and teaching my own students. Raisa Voldman has been wonderful! She is an incredibly talented musician whose love of music is so evident. She also cares very much about her students, on both a musical and personal level. She has offered me great perspective and guidance on fine-tuning my musicianship, and provided wonderful opportunities to perform, including several solo and duet performances. I have also been thrilled to have the opportunity to assist her in teaching some of her young beginner students, which has helped me to explore new materials and approaches to apply to lessons with my own beginning students! Raisa has also made me feel a part of the Voldman music family from the very beginning. She very genuinely cares for her students' well-being, and working with her has been an uplifting and joyful experience. Raisa, thank you for being such a wonderful teacher and friend, and for helping me bring my playing and teaching to the next level!

I have been under Mrs. Voldman's tulage for about 7-8 years and it has been a pleasure of being under her tutelage. If you take the time to practice 30 minutes per day while attending her lessons, it will allow you to form a basis of your form and technique. She can instruct you about enhancing your form and technique to allow you play the piano scores in a refined manner. On top of that, her sight reading is quite impressive and it will allow you to understand how the piano score/piece is supposed to sound. She enjoys engaging in conversation with her students to understand them better. Overall, I do believe that I wouldn't have been able to play advanced piano scores had it not been for Mrs. Voldman.

I studied with Raisa for a few years growing up and it was her teaching that made notes and sheet music transform into musicianship for me. She helped me understand how to put feeling in everything I played and how to really play from my heart. Not only her piano lessons but her life lessons were passed onto me through her love of music and her gigantic heart.
