Hired Mike for a deck tear out and rebuild. His foreman actually did all the hands on work. Structural integrity of the new deck is good. Composite deck boards are good with a local bit of wave in one area. The railing and spindle job was poor and rushed (I witnessed them crank it out fast). Poor quality of lumber (Home Depot). All rail posts are cracked and being replaced. All spindles did not get predrilled so are all cracked. About a third of the spindles are heavily warped. Some were cracked all the way through. Entire rail system being replaced and is only 4-5 months old. Not everything was bad but enough so I would not rehire.

BE AWARE! Very unprofessional service with Mike. Took my money and ran (mold test, ventilation, mold removal) Never gave me mold results and refuses to come back and wants to argue the job was done although he wasn’t here to check on the quality of service himself, it was his employee. Saying they did the “best they could do” without a contract for replacing my roof (which doesn’t need replacing per multiple reviews). So you can’t even remove visible surface mold as per our contract and your documented photos? Anyway, I’m not arguing with someone who cannot find reason. Before and after photos of my mold removal are the same- shows my $5k down the drain.

I had Mike redo the shower, replace the vanity, retile the bathroom floors and walls, and prep to install a stand-alone tub. Overall the work looks good and I am very glad to have eliminated the mold that was forming in the bathroom! The end of the project was a little rough and led to my husband and I feeling frustrated about a number of smaller issues needed to finish off the work. However, Mike took the time to talk to us and address our concerns to the best of his ability, and I appreciate his efforts to make things right.
