Thomas Cahoon Designs has existed in one form or another since 2013 when Thomas began working independently to pursue an interest and passion in wood working, alongside his day job as a metal fabricator and welder. Since then his interest and skill in custom furniture, metalwork/welding and home improvements has only grown.
His process is predicated on custom design to fit each client, and is built on attention to detail in every step of manufacturing and building. Making functional, beautiful pieces to fit each client perfectly is the goal of every piece we make.

I knew Thomas was the man for the job in our first conversation. The deck railing turned out fantastic. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Thomas was helpful and super talented metal fabricator
10/10 recommend. Gave this man a design, he built it. Fast response time, genuine passion, and efficient. He asks questions and makes sure you’re getting exactly what you want. Built my project in just a few days I couldn’t believe it.

My bread and butter is building stand-alone furniture. This is best seen in the tables, benches, media centers and shelving units I have built. My background in custom metal fabrication has also allowed me build and install some very unique and beautiful custom railings, gates and staircases as well.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was fortunate to do the build out on a couple of new restaurant/coffee shops in Denver, CO in the last year, where I was able to build the seating and bar areas from steel and wood. The high traffic of these venues is an especially rewarding aspect of building in commercial settings, as many people are able to see my work.
