With more than 40 years as a wedding officiant, I understand how important it is to have a beautiful ceremony without breaking the bank. My prices are negotiable and among the lowest in the region because I believe weddings shouldn’t bankrupt newlyweds.

David officiated our Colorado mountain wedding and he was great! He met with us initially and then was very responsive throughout the entire process. On the day of he was great and made the process so much less stressful! I would highly recommend having David as your officiant!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am always willing to listen to people who have circumstances that might require lowering my fees. I strongly believe that wedding costs should not be painful, so I purposely set my costs at the low end of the spectrum. Working with a website like Thumbtack can be challenging, as I am charged for all the folks who contact me, even if I am not hired, so making any profits can be difficult. That's why I ask folks to contact me through my website.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I share a few good websites with my customers with wedding vows. I also spend a great deal of time just asking questions and listening. I have some standard vows that are more spiritual than religious, and I also have vows without mention of God. If you want an officiant who is more of a Christian evangelical, I am probably not your best choice. I am very much a follower of Christ and a student of ACIM.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a teacher and a principal. I have learned to be relaxed and comfortable in what many see as a stressful situation, standing in front of hundreds of people. I have now officiated well over two hundred weddings.
