Introduction: Each artist, photographer brings its own voice and vision to the representing art that is unique and different from the external training. There arent any two photographers that have their work indistinguishable from each other. We all bring something new. As a photographer for Snap Lounge I am fascinated and driven by a specific point of view which focuses on capturing an emotional moment in the subjects life. Susan Sontag put it perfectly: All photographs are Memento Mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another persons (or things) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to times relentless melt.

Snap Lounge photographed our wedding in Boulder last summer, and we are very happy with their work. I appreciate that they took a nice mix of both classic and creatively posed shots, as well as many wonderful candid photos. I adore so many of their photographs--and I typically do not like to be photographed, so this is saying a lot! I liked that they took a lot of initiative throughout the process. They studied the wedding venue in advance for the best photo ops. We had about 50 people, so it was nice that they took time to learn who our family members and other VIPs were, which was their idea. Im also grateful that they thought to capture those fleeting little moments when we were getting ready before the wedding. Those photos are some of my favorites. Bartek and Ruben are very flexible and pleasant to work withjust two friendly, good-humored guys who clearly care a lot about their craft. Their photograph prints are of very high quality. We highly recommend them to anyone for any occasion.

Ruben has photographed many of my events, mostly outdoors, against the backdrop of Mother Nature. I am always overwhelmed and moved by the endless beauty of the mountains and desert, so I futilely try to grab those magical moments and stuff them in my pocket. Sadly we know that is impossible. And that is where Ruben's creativity and technical acumen with his various cameras and lenses come-in; he's able to fully capture the feelings and beauty from those moments in such a way that his photography will swiftly and fully transport you back to that wedding, special event or campsite. So Id say that is what distinguishes his photography; he always finds a fresh take and delivers an unexpected, dramatic composition. And as a bonus, hell have you laughing while he snaps away.

Our family had a photo session and it was the most relaxed photo session ever. The kids played and their true joy for life was captured. Rueben brought great ideas for the shoot but was completely on board to try our ideas for pics, too. He even took the time to explain some simple photography stuff to us about lenses and lighting (we're nerds and love to learn). Hands down the best photo experience I have ever had!!! And the pictures are so amazing! You can't get this kind of quality just anywhere!

You can count on Ruben not only to use the best tools in the industry, but also to creatively "wow" you with his artistic vision. I have been with Ruben on numerous shoots - from portraits to landscapes - and you can always count on him to elevate the moments you want to last forever, and capture the people you love in the best light.
