Terrible job and horrible customer service. Left my house worse looking that before he came and also charges a ridiculous travel fee, and wouldn’t come fix his work without charging another travel fee. Never should have hired and will never recommend.

Hi Seth and Kelly. I'm sorry you feel this way about the work I did for you. Unfortunately, I did immediately reach out once I saw your displeasure to explain the issues you were having. I strongly believe that I did not leave your house worse than before. I replaced your door jam in a timely manner and it worked when I left. You also approved the work before I left and had plenty of time to inform me of any issues then. In the future if you have issues with travel fees I strongly recommend that you hire someone closer to your area. I hope you have a great day.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are willing to do bids or time based billing. The bids provide a solid budget for your project and helps with financial planning, while time based is good for various small projects and potential savings for the customer.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will reach out to any new customers via phone call to discuss their project goals. Once we have an estimate completed a service agreement is sent to the customer with all details outlined. Finally, when the agreement is returned we schedule the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a woodworker and carpenter since 2015. My love for creating has led me to many different places from building houses in Alaska to mansions in Telluride. My passion for helping my community has inspired me to begin Mountain Jay Construction.
