Even my class with her didn't workout but she was very friendly and helpful. She referred me to couple other instructors and she was very cooperative.

Took a basic pistol class and thought I knew a lot already. I learned so much more! The safety alone was worth the whole class. I'm getting my daughter to sign up! Every girl should be prepared.

About this pro

My specialty is teaching women and responsible teens about firearm safety. No woman should ever be heard saying, "My husband has a gun but I don't know how to use it" and if you have a gun in your home, everyone physically and mentally mature enough to do so, should be taught to safely handle that firearm. The greatest joy I get from teaching NRA courses is seeing the feeling of achievement and pride on my students' faces when they've learned how to shoot and are getting hits on target, and the fact that I've taught them a life skill they will take with them forever.

    Q & A

    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
In Colorado in 2011, the political focus was that of more restrictive gun laws. I entered the battle to retain our rights by protesting at the capital and sitting in the legislative hearings. When I saw our lawmakers, who were trying to tell ME how many rounds I could or could not have in a magazine, and all the while using incorrect terminology with regard to firearms, I got motivated to combat and counter the fears of the uneducated by way of teaching, training and encouraging range practice.
    • What types of customers have you worked with?
I don't do jobs FOR my clients, I educate my students. If you want to learn to shoot, and do it the correct way, come and see me.
    • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for an accredited instructor who is local to you. Call them and ask as many questions as you like. Most firearm instructors love talking about guns, the range and they love finding out what your needs are.
