I had just moved from sharing an apartment with roommates where I only had to worry about 1 room to a studio to fill and lots and lots of boxes!! Beth was so patient with me and we went through every box, every area of the apartment, and even my long-standing junk drawers! She was very helpful in helping me to decide the best way to arrange the space to best fit my needs, with helping to decorate, and also with organization! It's one thing to have the apartment look clean, but it's another to know that all of your drawers, boxes, and closets are organized and there's a spot for everything! Whenever I try to clean or organize by myself, I get distracted or give up and throw things into random drawers or boxes, but Beth was helpful in keeping motivated and helped me think about different ways to group my stuff to help me best. She listened to what I wanted the space to look like and my interests and encouraged me to keep out some items other professionals may think were 'not stylish' or mature; like my array of Disney items, references to my favorite tv shows, and photo collages of my friends and family. After 25 years in my home, I realized that I should start the process of getting rid of unwanted items, so when the time came to move into to a smaller place, I would be ready. I decided to hire Beth and get the ball rolling. She helped me evaluate all that I had and what items I could start letting go of and which ones I should keep. She was very patient with me and we worked well together as a team. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge by the hour and recommend 3 to 4+ hour sessions for bigger projects to allow us to dig in and really get some work done. Any supplies that I purchase to help with your project are passed on to you at cost and invoiced separately. Military veterans receive a 10% discount off regular hourly rate
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?After we chat on the phone about your needs, we can either set up a free in home consultation or schedule a time to jump right in and get started. Either way, I'll evaluate your space, create an action plan and design a maintenance system that will be easy for you to follow.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?As a daughter of a hoarder I have chosen to reach out and help people live a better life by helping them declutter and organize their homes. Understanding why people have excessive clutter and disorganization allows me to be patient and compassionate when I work alongside them to help make their living space more efficient.
